Eligibility

• Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent exam including   international IB  Diploma (IB certificate awarded is not eligible) with English as compulsory subject
                                                                     &
• With science or science vocational
                                                     &
• Minimum 50% marks in PCM for Mumbai campus & 45% marks in PCM for Shirpur campus.
                                                     &
•  Those awaiting their 10+2 exam result this year may also apply.

•  Candidates who have passed the 10+2 exam by doing a part-time course or through distance learning/correspondence/externally/open school are not eligible to apply for the courses.

•  Candidates should present single marksheet .Candidate passed with compartment is not eligible.

Note (for IB & Cambridge Candidate): Candidates called for admission counseling on the basis of NMAT (UG) merit list & who do not have final marksheet will be given "Provisional Admission"based on predicted score. Fees will be accepted from such candidate but their admission will be confirmed on submission of final  marksheet if found eligible before the commencement of the program

• Candidates appearing for their final 10+2 or equivalent examination can also    apply provided they should obtaining the required minimum cut off marks and also producing all the necessary documents, in original, within the given stipulated time.

• Those candidates who have passed, or, are appearing for 10+2 examination from a Board/University where Grade Point Average is given, such candidates must produce in writing from the Board/University concerned about the equivalent percentage for the GPA obtained.

• In case of CBSE, ICSE, Online marks mentioned of HSC, total aggregate percentage should be mentioned, not best of four, five or seven.

• Candidate above 25 years of age are restricted to apply for undergraduate programs.

• It is sole responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess necessary and requisite qualification for the admission to the courses at NMIMS.

• NMIMS reserves the right to alter the terms of eligibility without intimation to the applicants.

Refund Rules:

1 Till the date of commencement of the Programme. (28th July 2014) Rs.1000/- will be deducted as administrative charges
2 After the commencement of Programme but before the close of the admission. (from 29th July 2014 to 16th August 2014) Rs.1000 + Proportionate fees i.e. one tenth of the fees for every completed month or part thereof, if the seat vacated by the candidate is filled. If the seat remains vacant /unfilled  fees will NOT be refunded.
3 Cancellation after the official closure of admission. (17th August onwards) Cancellation made after the official closing of admission fees will NOT be refunded.

Charges are as follows
Rs.1800/- for one school program
Rs.3000/-for all programs of two different schools
Rs.4000/- for all programs of three different schools
Rs.5000/- for all programs of four different schools

 

Online Test: All eligible candidates who are registered successfully will be called for the online test.

Call Letter/ Admit Card
  • On the basis of information indicted in the Application Form, your call letter/ admit card for the Admission Test & the venue (School/College) at each centre will be communicated to the candidate as per important dates through the website.
  • Please check important dates put on the website.
  • You are required to download the call letter/admit card from our website www.nmims.edu
  • No candidate, without call letter/admit card or without the photograph on the call letter/admit card will be permitted to appear for the test.
  • No separate call letter will be mailed/posted.
  • Candidate must carry requisite ID proof while appearing for NMAT (UG) 2014.
  • Candidates have to produce in original the photo identity proof and submit photocopy of the photo identity proof along with test Call Letter/Admit Card while attending the test, without which Candidate will not be allowed to take up the test. Please note that the name entered in online application form  should exactly match the name as appearing on the photo identity proof. If there is any mismatch in the name , Candidate will not be allowed to appear for the test.

NMIMS reserves the right to cancel any venue of examination for any reason and the applicant will have to take the test at any of the other venues available. NMIMS decision in this regard will be final.

Once you select the exam center, change of center for NMAT (UG) 2014 will not be permitted.

Note: In case adequate number of candidates not registered at any of the center, candidates will be informed to take the exam at nearest center. NMIMS reserves the right to cancel any Venue of examination for any reason and the applicant will have to take the test at any of the other venues available. NMIMS decision in this regard will be final.

Test Structure of the Test – NMAT (UG) 2014

NMAT (UG) 2014 for MBA Tech. would be an objective type multiple-choice test. (There will be no descriptive type of questions.)

NMAT (UG) 2014 will comprise the following

For each Question for which a wrong answer is marked, 1/4th of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted as penalty.

Type of questions and difficulty level of Tests will be on SAT Pattern.

As per our standard practice, the scores across various sessions will be equated to adjust for slight differences in difficulty level of different test items used across sessions.

Other Guidelines

Guidelines for physically challenged candidates

Physically challenged will include following (as per PWD Act of India)
1. Visually Challenged
2. Low vision
3. Cerebral Palsy
4. Learning Disability/ Dyslexia

Candidates who wish to request for an accommodation must scan their Disability Certificate and email it together with the candidate's NMAT ID and name to NMATUG@nmims.edu five or more days prior to test scheduled date. Each application will be reviewed on a case-to-case basis and appropriate assistance will be made available at the test centre.

Selection Process

Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidate NMAT (UG) 2014:

  • Candidates will be called for counseling session at Mumbai based on the merit list.
  • In the counseling session candidates will be given admission to various disciplines as per their merit, choice and availability of discipline as per eligibility criteria.
  • The decision of the institute will be final in this regard and no inquiries or correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
Upgradation Process:

On cancellation, the vacant seat is offered to next eligible candidate as per merit and preference. Candidate has to confirm the offer in writing within 24 hrs. If accepted, gets transferred to that specialization. If rejected, not eligible for further up gradation and remains in the same admitted specialization.

Refund Rules:

Candidate should submit a written requirement request for withdrawal / cancellation of admission & submit it to Deputy Registrar (Admission) along with original fee receipt.

Important Instructions
  • Candidates will be offered Programme/Campus based on the availability of seat, candidates merit rank, choice.
  • Changing of branch and campus will be considered as per preference, merit rank and availability of seat after the admission granted to particular branch/campus.
  • Change of campus & program is not allowed after commencement of the program
  • If at any stage, it is found that a candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria or the information furnished by him/her in the application form is incorrect, his/her admission to the course, even if selected, will stand cancelled. Such candidates appearing for the NMAT (UG) will do on their own risk.
  • Canvassing in any form for admission will disqualify the candidate.

  • All matters of dispute will be subject to the legal jurisdiction of Mumbai only.
